The incredibly charming Kate and Steve were married at Castle Hill on a classic Newport afternoon with fog rolling in off the water.  You will remember this much-loved couple from their engagement session with Julie.  Kate's warm smile, lapis blue eyes and golden hair make her look like a bride straight from the magazines.  The couple is effortlessly-chic and their wedding was the perfect expression of that.  An elegant palette of shimmery silvery and punchy orange with navy made a gorgeous setting for a fantasticly fun party.

As some of you know, I traveled to Haiti last month to photograph for 1000jobsHaiti. It was a rich journey, filled with sights, smells and emotions that I have never experienced before. The sea of people was lush, the landscape teetered between heaven (the apparent visuals of the countryside), and hell (the city, Port-Au-Prince). It was a photographic overload! I miss it. The term "senior portrait" might mean something different depending on whom you ask.  Some people think it is having a full-scale commercial fashion shoot.  At Oggi we think that they should simply be radiant photographs of a person.  Just like with all her work, Julie creates a portrait that gets to the essence of a person without over processing or over dramatizing.  These three beautiful girls are each graduating as part of the class of 2012. Julie was able to snag each one at the end of the summer to capture these gorgeous photos and celebrate their final year of high school.

Lizzie and Ryan were married at Barrington Yacht Club, overlooking the harbor and the setting sun.  Guests gathered together on the dock and watched as they exchanged vows of love and devotion.  Lizzie was an incredible DIY bride and their reception was one-of-a-kind down to every fun detail.  The hot pink shoes and wild balloons were memorable accents to this classic-with-a-twist wedding.

On a lovely, warm summer evening, Jenny and Norman stood on the dock at the Regatta Place and spoke their vows with the bright sun slowly moving towards the horizon.  They celebrated their marriage under the tent, surrounded by friends and family, dancing and singing the night away.

Jenn and Eric were married in a touching, intimate ceremony at the The Chanler Inn.  This stately inn sits on Newport's famed Cliffwalk and made for the perfect romantic setting for this sweet couple.  Surrounded by their children and closest family members, the two spoke words of loving commitment then hosted a special dinner for the small party inside the mansion.

Lisa and James were married at DeWolf Tavern in Bristol, RI on the sunniest and windiest day of the season!  After exchanging vows, these Bristolians held a relaxed party where friends and family could mingle over delicious passed hors d'oeuvres.  Because of the high speed winds guests mostly stayed indoors, lounging on comfortable seats and enjoying each other company.  The blue and white hydrangeas and calalilies were classic accents to the elegant wood of DeWolfs.  The couple finished off the night with the best cake cutting ever seen - Lisa leading everyone in chorus to "How Sweet It Is" by Marving Gaye.
